This could probably use a bit more optimizing since it was set up while a portion of my map was still locked but this should be good enough. Other maps are planned but will probably be held off for a couple days so I can do all of them.įor the third map I do something like this. Just helps min-max a bit more.Įdit: Currently got a release for Flesh World for that "interactive map". There's also a few that benefit from 1-2 speeds but no more. This allows me to see which tiles are the best for productivity while not great for speed. Not sure how useful others will find this but I like it when I need to place a tile that only benefits from productivity and I've ran out of room on other maps. Unsure how true this statement is when more lab speed upgrades are bought).Īs a bonus to this design, I'm currently working on creating different layers in GIMP that will allow me to easily toggle tiles that are effected by 1/2/3/4 Speed/Productivity beacons. Square speed beacons are better in this situation. I don't know if this will always be the case since I don't have too much in terms of lab speed upgrades.

While square speed beacons are 5% more effective than their knight counterparts, I don't know of a situation where full speeds will be better than the mixed bag (not saying there isn't one, but I haven't ran into one Edit: There is one situation where full speeds are better and that's when building labs. Knights are important to use for productivity due to the increased 5% effectiveness that they have. In this case, it's best to use all knight productivity beacons. Tiles have speed caps and thus would benefit more from productivity over speed, to the point where speed will do nothing. In case it needs to be stated, this design shouldn't be used for everything. I use this island for lower tier stuff and expensive so it's generally all productivity and efficiency beacons. You could do the same for the first map but I haven't really optimized anything for that. Simply using this design without optimization (like the few square beacons that are used) should provide a guesstimated 97% of the efficiency so not min-maxing it won't hurt much at all. I don't think this would make a huge difference but it might make a bit of a difference. As a disclaimer, I have not actually tested reversing this layout (swapping the empty slots for beacons and vice versa). Some slots were left empty because they didn't show any improvement and I would rather have the empty slot in case I need something that over produces and thus doesn't need beacons. There may be a few minor adjustments that can be made.

I've since slightly improved the final mixed bag layout for Flesh World. I optimized the tutorial island but this was done prior to the expansion so the top middle bit may be slightly less optimal. I found that alternating Speed and Productivity beacons to be the best. I have a comment that goes over different layouts. It will also allow you to activate higher level gold diggers (usually gold is a non-issue for augments and blood magic by that point but it can help for those as well).Prewarning: This comment may contain spoilers from start to finish that increase in "severity" as the post progresses. This means that equipping all of your gold drops bonuses and going to the hardest zone you can to kill a boss (or when you are going to kill titans as they drop gold as well) can net you a significantly higher amount of gold dropped by that enemy, boosting the output of the time machine as a result.Įarly on, this has little value unless you are starved for gold, but once you get gold diggers and a high rank fruit of gold, it means that when you eat the fruit at the end of your rebirth you will gain a significantly higher amount of gold as well, allowing you to pump more gold into levelling gold diggers. The time machine's output depends on quite a few things (level of the energy/magic entry, highest boss ever reached and bonuses from many places), but one of the most impactful thing is that it uses the highest amount of gold dropped by an enemy in the adventure mode since the start of the current rebirth. > What do you mean with "to set the Time Machine threshold"? I'm quite new.
